A recent article in the online edition of Crain's Chicago Business painted a clear picture of the state of Chicago-area brokerages. Although the 2009 housing market took its toll on many firms, Baird & Warner is standing on solid ground. In many instances, brokerages were down double-digits in 2009, whereas Baird & Warner's transactions were up 11% compared to 2008.

"As some brokerages have increased their market share through acquisitions the past year, our success has come from our sales associates' hard work and resilience," said B&W Senior VP & General Sales Manager Laura Ellis.
